BeyondRx Offers Partially Funded
Rx Program for the Un-Insured
While the dilemma regarding prescription coverage for the elderly and uninsured continues, some companies are looking to provide interim relief.
BeyondRx, located in Overland Park, KS, has worked with small
employer groups and individuals to create a special program offering
significant savings to consumers with no prescription benefit for
select brand products.
Monty Rogers, a registered pharmacist and President of BeyondRx,
offered examples of some of the discounted products available in
the program as of July 1, 2002. While BeyondRx states that some
of the program product contracts are evaluated as frequently as
every 90 days, they emphasize that their objective is to offer these
savings for as long as they are available to consumers. Rogers added,
"We have been informed that, while the brand products may vary
in availability for this program from time to time, we should see
more products being added in the future than being removed."
Consumers and small employer groups with
no prescription coverage can take advantage of this program
by contacting BeyondRx toll-free at (866) 247-9996.
BeyondRx is a prescription benefit manager (PBM) offering
partially funded Rx programs, self-funded Rx programs and mail order
services to employer groups and unions throughout the country.
